  1. Kia ora Alan,

Congratulations on completing your very first activity for this years Summer Learning Journey. I am so excited have so many students from Waikowhai eager to start the programme this year. It is only day 2, and we have seen 200 posts from students with in the Ako Hiko cluster. Is that not incredible!

What a great post you have put together to kick start the journey. I agree with you, it is fascinating how over half of New Zealand's population own cars. To top that fact off, 1/4 of New Zealand's population lives in Auckland, which means there could be around 625,000 cars here in Auckland. No wonder we have a problem with traffic in our beautiful city. What effect do you think this many cars is having on the environment in New Zealand? How do you think, we could make this car problem better?

I cannot wait to see more incredible posts from you. Next time, maybe you could read the website first, think about the fact, and then post the fact in your own words. This will help me see that you are thinking about the activity and will show me that you are using your own words instead of copying and pasting.

I hope you have an awesome day, Alan,
    Megan :)
